We have over the last little while been able to recruit Margaret Drew who works a couple of days a week, and Mututanga Davis to our team of financial mentors. Mututanga also works as a Family Support Worker concentrating mainly on supervised contact. It is great having both Margaret and Mututanga on board as they add something different to the services we offer.
We were also pleased to hear that the new Government had decided to scrap the Client level data requirements that were in the old contracts. This was quite intrusive we felt and requested a level of client information which we were not comfortable with. It is fair to say that even though it was in the contracts initially, no information was ever passed on the MSD as the Privacy Commissioner and others ruled that it was an excessive intrusion of client’s rights. But the cloud of some other form of data being required of us to give to MSD hung over us, so we were pleased when this was finally put to rest recently.
